Prescribed burn in Connecticut

The Wildfire SIG conducted an ecological prescribed burn with a local forester and landowner in Connecticut in Spring 2020. The goal of this student group is to raise awareness and build skills for restorative and ecological fire and the ecosystem benefits of “good fire” as well as understand the impacts of catastrophic fire for climate change, land management, impacted communities, and local ecosystems.
