Carbon markets have been energized and incentivized like never before, driven by a groundswell of corporate net zero commitments.  But now that companies have driven up demand, how do they influence supply in terms of quality and price?  Tracy will share her perspective on Meta’s net zero goals, how carbon markets fit into those goals, and how her team assesses project and credit quality.  She’ll also speak about the role of corporate leadership in the future of carbon markets, and where the biggest opportunities are to innovate and solve the best kinds of problems – a growing market and an increasing focus on integrity, transparency, and local community leadership

Speaker Biography

Tracy is a carbon removal specialist and leads Meta's effort to procure high-quality carbon removal credits as part of Meta's Net Zero 2030 climate commitment.  She received her MS in climate policy and forest ecology from ASU's Center for Science, Policy and Outcomes.  She has worked at the intersection of climate policy, finance, and land use for over 15 years, and has specialized in natural and technological carbon removal over the past 4 years.
