
Optimal Use of Forestland Under Future Bio-Energy Demand Scenarios
During the talk, Alice will present the projected demands for bio-energy under the IAMs scenarios and test their effects on forestland use and the consequences on climate change mitigation. Policy instruments to address possible negative effects will be discussed together with future research plans.

Since 2014, I have been Visiting Assistant Professor and Lecturer at the School of Public Policy, Georgia Tech. In Fall 2019 I accepted a new joint position as Associate Director of Graduate Studies in the School of Public Policy and as Program Coordinator of the Master of Sustainable Energy and Environmental Management. From May 2011 to April 2013, I was a Visiting Research Assistant at the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies where I was working on my PhD dissertation under the supervision of Professor Robert Mendelsohn and I have a Ph. D in Science and Management of Climate Change from the Economics Department of Ca’ Foscari University, Venice, Italy. My research focuses on the use of economic models to study how climate mitigation policies (e.g. emissions targets/taxes) and climate change (e.g. fires) will affect the use and management of forests. I am currently a contributing author of the 6th Report of the IPCC.
