The Forest School at YSE prides itself on training and preparing foresters, who become leaders in the field, policy arena, academia, and non-profit, public, and private sectors. Our network of alums is tightly connected and frequently welcomed back to campus to share their experiences and work. Here, we will highlight notable alum achievements.

Liz Thomas ’10 MESc is a decorated through-hiker and a founding member of The Outdoorist Oath. Thomas is passionate about reducing the barriers to accessibility to the outdoors and creating a space of belonging for people of all backgrounds and abilities.
